Classmates Forever Their Life Stories What I Remember About...

This page will contain stories and anecdotes about our Classmates who have passed away.  If you have something that you would like to share about the life or the passing of one of our Classmates, please send it with the subject "What I Remember About" to Les Olsen for publishing.

Tim Woolsey
as remembered by AJ Freeman

I remember Tim Woolsey well. What a cool guy! While I was still at Franklin School, in the 6th grade, I remember hearing about an accident  over a East Jr. High School. As I recall it, a student was pretty seriously hurt - got hit by a school bus or something, I don't remember exactly what. Anyway this student, it turns out, was Tim Woolsey. It seems he had to skip a year of school, so that when I started 7th grade at East Jr. High, Tim Woolsey, and also his sister Dorthy, were in my Class.
Because of his set back resulting from his accident, he was somewhat older than most of his classmates, and he seemed so mature to us. In PE he was the captain and quarterback of our intramural flag football team. ( Andy Livingston was our Student Coach from the frosh Football team). Anyway, I really looked up to Tim, and I think he liked me. His nickname for me was "Freedom". I say again, what a cool guy!

as remembered by Cookie Leppla-Kelly

I have a son I named after Tim Woolsey.  Tim was the first boy I ever danced with and had a crush on at age 13 "I think".  I remember dancing to "Fools Rush In".  I will always remember him as very special in my life.  My son "Tim" is a wonderful man who loves life...fishing, especially, playing golf, and having fun.

Sharon Minch

As remembered by Adrian "Jim" Flynn

What I remember about Sharon was her "Bubbly" personality and the fact that she ALWAYS had a springy bounce to her walk. I don't think I ever saw her mad or upset about anything. Also when we went out on dates you had to allow an extra hour for travel as she lived "ALL THE WAY OUT AT THE BUCKHORN BATHS" almost to Power Rd. on E. Main plus the extra $1 -$2 of gas. I hope she lived a Full and Happy live as she deserved to do so for always making you laugh no matter what mood you might be in.

Ada Lea Carlisle Tolbert
by Richard VanNoy

When I knew her she was just Ada Lea Carlisle. We met about half way thru our senior year working on a set for a play. We met while we were running around finding props.

As I got to know her and those big hats she always had to wear, an allergy to sunlight I think, I came to care for her quite a lot. We hung out together even after the play finished.

After school was out I went into the Army and she went to college. We kept in touch for a while but I had joined the Army and had decided to make it a career. Being young and stupid I didn't keep in touch with Ada Lea.

Ada Lea was a sweet, kind and gentle person, Mr. Tolbert was a lucky man, and the world is a sadder place without her in it.
